Background

Propel Profit is the easiest inventory management, production and profitability tool for handmade makers selling across multiple sales channels like Shopify, Etsy and Wix. The web app helps makers manage raw and finished product inventory and cost of goods, automates production recipes and provides instant insights on expenses and profitability across storefronts.

Development:

We worked to develop a custom web-based application that enables simplified inventory management for handmade makers; we created a login and easy to follow user flow to update and manage raw materials as well as intermediary products necessary for the production of handmade products like candles and soaps. We also enabled production batch recipes to be saved within the platform, and automated batch calculations to ensure that users never have to manually calculate raw materials for production again.

We worked to integrate all finished goods inventory across multiple storefronts (Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce) so that users could manage inventory from a single dashboard and get notifications when they need to order more raws, or do another production.

We also developed and customized profit reporting specifications on profitability across individual products and sales channels, enabling end users to focus on the products and storefronts that are driving most value.

UX Design & Marketing Strategy:

We developed the company brand and website to communicate the value proposition, software features and pricing.

We designed the user interface and user flow through the onboarding and use of the application, walking users through inputting raw materials, production calculations, as well as the visualization of profitability reporting.
